APORTES DESDE LA ARQUEOLOGÍA EN LA REVALORIZACIÓN DE PATRIMONIOS LOCALES. UNA PROPUESTA DE GESTIÓN EN TORNO A LA COLECCIÓN ARQUEOLÓGICA “RENÉ MORA”.
Considering the necessity of developing strategies aimed at the management of the cultural heritagewhich support the human development and which guarantee the responsible use of cultural heritagevalues, the aim of this project is working with the private archaeological collection “René Mora”. Thiscollection which is located in Juan Lacaze, Colonia, needs management strategies to guarantee its permanenceand its appreciation and social appropriation. Cultural management must come together withresearch in a constant feedback between doing and thinking. To deeply know this cultural resource, it isessential to achieve the community’s appreciation and understanding and to facilitate conservation andadequate use.The present project’s main goals are the systematization and the appreciation of the archaeologicalcollection. To do this, two approaches are presented. On one hand, the inventory and preservationof the material remains to systematically gather and record information about the archaeological andcultural heritage. On the other hand, the project will assist the development of public programmes toincrease the access to the prehistoric local past by more people. By doing this, the project pretends to aidin the construction of the collective memory and social identities and in the socio cultural developmentof the community.
