El síncope vasovagal (SVV) es altamente prevalente enla población general. Si bien su pronóstico es benignoen ciertos casos implica un mayor riesgo de traumatismos,así como un deterioro de la calidad de vida. Eltratamiento de primera línea para evitarlo consiste eninformar y aconsejar al paciente sobre las medidas higiénico-dietéticas indicadas. Ante un síncope inminentecon pródromos, se implementan maniobras físicas queincrementan rápidamente la presión arterial (TA).

Vasovagal syncope (VVS) is highly prevalent in thegeneral population. Although its prognosis is benign,in certain cases it implies an increased risk of trauma,as well as deterioration in quality of life. Thefirst line of treatment to avoid this condition consistsin informing and advising the patient on the indicatedhygienic-dietary measures. In the face of imminentsyncope with prodromes, physical maneuversthat rapidly increase blood pressure (BP) are implemented.
