Este artículo plantea algunas dimensiones analíticas para poner en perspectiva el tema del testimonio. Lo hace vinculando el relato experiencial de hombres y mujeres que han atravesado períodos históricos en que la violencia cambió el rumbo de sus vidas y cuyas consecuencias han sido compartidas en espacios públicos, en otros espontáneos o en entornos habilitados de escucha. Sus testimonios, además, se incorporan a la construcción de memorias colectivas. El atravesamiento de lo subjetivo plantea una singularidad donde la construcción de lo único es lo inherente al testimonio. Es donde aparece el sujeto, el testigo. El núcleo temático pone el acento sobre esta perspectiva, lo que abre un campo en que la experiencia humana, los acontecimientos y la palabra se habilitan, transitan, dando lugar a la expresión, a la transmisión, y a la escucha. Se plantean, también algunas descripciones sobre formas en que los quiebres narrativos estructuran o desarticulan la capacidad de representación, de expresión y de transmisión de vivencias límites. Algunos temas dilemáticos que se desprenden del texto plantean la relación entre el testimonio y sus efectos tanto en los debates de las políticas de la memoria, como en las consecuencias de alivio, elaboración o capacidad reparatoria del testimonio para quienes han sido sus protagonistas. AbstractThis article proposes some analytical dimensions to put the issue of the testimony into perspective. It does so by linking the experiential narratives of men and women who have undergone historical periods in which violence changed the course of their lives, who have shared the consequences of that violence in public spaces, in spontaneous settings or contexts of listening, and whose testimonies are incorporated to the construction of collective memories. Going through the subjective gives rise to the singularity where the construction of the unique is inherent in the testimony. It is there that the subject, the witness, appears. The thematic core emphasizes this perspective, where human experience, events, and words can be expressed, transmitted and listened to. Some of the ways in which the narrative breaks contribute to structure or disarticulate the capacity to represent, express, and transmit limit experiences are described. The article also rises some questions about the effect of testimony on the debates of the politics of memory, and about its capacity to bring relief, working- through or reparation to those who have been the protagonists.
