Entre lo público y lo privado: los testimonios sobre la violencia contra las mujeres en el terrorismo de Estado en Argentina/Between public and private: testimonies on violence against women in state terrorism in Argentina

Los procesos judiciales más recientes por crímenes cometidos durante el terrorismo de Estado en Argentina han permitido visibilizar las distintas formas en las que se ejerció la violencia contra las mujeres detenidas y secuestradas que, hasta hace pocos años, permanecía mayormente ocluida al conocimiento público. Las reflexiones que presentamos en estas páginas retoman un trabajo más amplio en el cual se analizaron más de sesenta testimonios de mujeres que forman parte del Archivo Oral de Memoria Abierta. Son entrevistas que refieren, entre otras cuestiones, a las distintas modalidades de violencia dirigida especialmente contra las mujeres en centros clandestinos de detención y cárceles como parte del sistema represivo del terrorismo de Estado. Se trata de relatos que, de modos diversos, denuncian y reflexionan sobre esa violencia, sus manifestaciones, impactos subjetivos y ecos en el presente. En este trabajo el foco estará puesto en lo que las entrevistadas dicen a propósito de los lugares, momentos e interlocutores con quienes han podido o querido hablar de esas vivencias y sus secuelas, y a sus percepciones sobre la experiencia de tomar la palabra, ya sea para denunciar judicialmente o para narrar sus experiencias. Abstract The most recent reopening of trials on crimes committed by state terrorism in Argentina have helped to expose the ways in which violence is exercised against arrested and kidnapped women, a topic that remained largely occluded for Justice and the broad public until recently. This piece is based on a larger work which analyzes some of the testimonies of women who suffered different forms of violence especially targeted at women in clandestine detention centers and legal prisons as part of the repressive system of state terrorism. These stories, a selection from more than sixty among the Oral Archive at Memoria Abierta, report and reflect on sexual and gender violence, its manifestations within the broader state terror system, its subjective impacts and echoes in the present. In this paper the focus will be on what respondents say about the places, moments and interlocutors with whom they have been (un)able or (un)willing to refer to these experiences and their aftermath, and to their perceptions of the experience of talking it over, whether at the present hearings or at testifying in this Archive.
